It was a couple days before Christmas and we had been traveling overland through Africa since the middle of October when we crossed the border to Namibia from Botswana. We were eager to land in Namibia because we heard rumors of craft beer and luxury camping in Swakopmund. Little did we know that Namibia would become one of the most photogenic places we have visited. Namibia is home to one of the oldest deserts on earth and also some of the largest sand dunes as well. We visited an iconic sand dune called “Dune 45”. Anyone who has ever owned a Windows computer would recognize the pictures from here because it has been your screen saver for about every operating system they have made. Anyways, our time in Namibia consisted of our first christmas on the beach, and tons of amazing photo opportunities.
